Communicate effectively with patients, their families and friends, members of the dental team and any other healthcare professionals.
Obtain and document a patient history, interpret a treatment plan or prescription, and perform an appropriate examination of the patient.
Detect the presence of oral diseases, including abnormalities that may require a more complete examination and take the necessary measures.
Evaluate and apply techniques and treatments based on clinical experience in relation to the provision of dental appliances.
Design and document a comprehensive examination, make appropriate visual and tactile assessments, interpret results from available information, and arrange for further assessment and review.
Interpret and take part in the treatment plan developed for the provision of a removable dental prosthesis and evaluate progress.
Identify problems being treated and propose other treatment options such as preventive or supportive treatments.
Adopts at the highest possible levels, clinical and dental technological procedures inherent to one's area of expertise, including techniques for preventing future problems and the ability to improve the oral health of individuals.
